Epic runs with plug-ins sufficient only for a single function. Generated data is then exported to an external system (which might be another instance of Epic).

This 'dedicated' deployment would be suitable:

• during evaluation and adoption of Epic within existing systems;
• for staff dedicated to a single function; e.g.
  • estimators
  • a 'time office' function

Epic facilitates such a deployment through its modular design and built-in import/export functions for every plug-in.
